This spring, Electrolux hosted the third edition of its Future Sustainable Kitchen event, following up on forums hosted in 2019 and 2021. This year’s theme focused on how we can assist consumers to make healthier and more sustainable choices along the food value chain. With around 85% of the environmental impact of home appliances occurring during the use phase, we have a collective responsibility to inspire sustainable behavior change.
Electrolux gathered experts from across the food ecosystem – scientists, kitchen producers, food tech start-ups, a chef, their own expert appliance makers, and Hatcher founder Petra Janney – to discuss and discover how to make healthy and sustainable eating the preferred choice. After giving a talk on increasing the adoption of plant-based lifestyles, Petra joined a panel on the topic with Electrolux Chief Design Officer Simon Bradford; Tessa Clarke, Founder and CEO of Olio; and Mike Wolf, Founder & CEO of The Spoon.
